This past Tuesday, my Dad turned 60. 30*2. 120/2. Any way you write it, that's what he is. For a gift, I decided to dust off the ink and paint and make him something crafty in celebration. I decided to sketch out a Blue Jay from a photo I'd found on Google.

Well, it's been about a week since the pain and shingles appeared and so far things are progressing as well as can be expected. I believe we caught it early enough because I think the medicine is really helping stop the spreading and to quicken the healing process. Well, as of this morning, Kevin is now out to sea until sometime in September. We're none too happy about it, but it comes with the territory. We had a quiet weekend while he was here: watching movies & anime, making dinner together, napping, and cuddling.
